


Fundraising/Sponsorships Member, NBTA U.S. World Team 2006 World Baton Twirling Championships Eindhoven, Holland The Netherlands April 2006 Without a doubt, I am getting ready for the most exciting experience of my competitive baton twirling career to date. I am one of a limited number of twirlers that has earned the opportunity to compete at the National Baton Twirling Association’s World Baton Twirling Championships in Andover, Netherlands, in April 2006. That’s more than 3,000 miles from Maryland and my first trip abroad. I am both honored and proud to represent Maryland, Charles County, and the local community at this prestigious event. Specifically, I qualified for the international event by winning the National Two-Baton Championship (Age 8) and placing second in the National/World Open Juvenile Two-Baton event at the recent National championships at the University of Notre Dame. As a member of the U.S. team, I am looking forward to not only competing at the World level, but also interacting with my U.S. teammates and competitors from around the world as well as learning about other countries and cultures While it is difficult to estimate the VALUE of such a trip, the actual costs for a trip like this are high. I am working hard with my mom and coach to raise the money to get us all there. Would you please consider a donation to help cover the cost of my participation at the World Championships?
